<p>Anyone who makes a donation to the Friends of the Winchester Public Library is considered a Friend. Activities are managed by a volunteer Board. The Friends is a distinct organization from the Library Board of Trustees, which has custody and management of the library, its property, and budget.</p>

What is the purpose of your organization? Why do you exist? Why should people join or support you?
<p>The mission of the Friends of the Winchester Public Library is to enhance and support our community’s Library by raising funds and advocating for programs and services not funded by the Town.</p>
Programs or Services offered
What the organization offers to the community: programs, activities, skills, areas of interest, etc. Could be a simple description, a bulleted list with links, or something else.
<p>The Friends sponsors programs and helps to support new library services and technologies, while working to maintain the Library’s quality of service.</p>
Volunteer opportunities
How could volunteers contribute, for either regular activities special events?
<p>Donations are always welcome. 100% of the money donated is used to support the Library. From time to time, Board positions are open. Interested people should visit the web site to learn more about these opportunities.</p>
