Holiday Faire

Our home-made apple pies will fill the freezer. Our crafters have been knitting, crocheting, and sewing handmade treasures all year and this is your chance to scoop them up! Our bakers and soup makers are getting ready to fill our baked goods table and snack bar, so you’ll have plenty of tasty options if you get hungry while shopping. Our White Elephant and Book Sale tables will soon be groaning with treasures. Plus the jewelry table, Christmas Room, and cookie bar! We hope you’ll join us in kicking off the holiday season at this beloved community event.

Homecoming: WFEE Autumn Gala

This year, get ready to rewind the clock and relive the rad vibes of the 1990’s at our semi-formal homecoming dance!  Slip on your DocMarten’s, dust off the scrunchies, and join us for a night filled with nostalgic fun and great music, all the while supporting our mission of enriching educational opportunities within Winchester Public Schools!  We have decided to change it up this year, hosting our event in the Winchester Town Hall, the original location of semi-formal dances back in WFEE’s earliest days, and can’t wait to share in this special evening with you all.

This year, we will again

Jazz Blessing of the Animals

Sunday, October 20, 2024, 10 AM, Town Common
Rain Location: Chidley Hall

Please join us on the Town Common where we will swing, celebrate and give thanks for all of God's creatures, blessing our animal companions. We welcome all pets--furry, scaly, hairy, feathery and even plush! Photos of beloved pet companions are welcome in place of those who can't be there. And a special seating section will be set aside for those who are more comfortable sitting away from the animals.

To serenade both congregation and pets, FCCW's own house band will offer jazz music before, during and after the

John J. Sullivan Memorial Dedication

Winchester officials will dedicate a memorial to former Select Board member and Town Moderator John Sullivan in an area behind Town Hall, close to the Mt. Vernon Street bridge. The memorial includes a bench and plaque.

Sullivan served three terms on the Select Board in the 1970s-1980s before being named Citizen of the Year in 1985. He served as town moderator or an unprecedented 37 years before retiring in the spring of 2014. All are welcome to attend the ceremony.
