Join us for a fun, festive gingerbread house decorating event! Grab your friends and neighbors and get in the spirit on Sunday, December 7th from 10am to 12pm at the Sons of Italy, Winchester. All proceeds to benefit the Muraco Elementary PTO.
Gingerbread houses, icing, and decorating supplies are provided, as well as festive music and merriment! This is not a drop off event so please plan to accompany children under 14.
Elementary School Kids and their families, join us at Wright-Locke Farm to greet the farm goats! We'll learn all about them, shear some goat stories, and enjoy an easy guided walk around the farm property . Registration is required! We'll be meeting at the the All Seasons Barn at Wright-Locke Farm, located at 82 Ridge Street Winchester, Ma 01890.
Right Hand Mechanics: Guitar Clinic with Hayes Griffin
This 90-minute workshop is for any guitarist who wants to gain better control and fluency in flat-pick playing. Guest clinician Hayes Griffin will help participants to:
• Better control your picking hand
• Gain control when playing awkward string skips
• Gain fluidity at a variety of tempos
• Build techniques for better tone
• Learn how to practice to affirm good picking technique
Open to intermediate and advanced guitar players ages 13+. Please bring your guitar and a flat pick!
Free for WCMS students; $15 for the general public
We're looking for woodwind, brass, percussion, ukulele, guitar, bass and other instrumentalists to play spooky themed music to kick off this fun town-wide event. No marching is required - we'll play standing in place. Costumes are welcome. This event takes place in the Jenks Center parking lot, across from Town Hall. We'll meet at 10:00 AM in the parking lot for a quick run through rehearsal and play at 10:30 AM. Pick up your music parts in the front office once you've signed up to perform.
