Learn what’s available; whether you need services today or want to know what’s available for future needs. While open to all, the presentation will focus on the unique needs of Solo Agers – those without the support of adult children or family. An audience discussion will follow the presentation. Join New Horizons at Choate resident Victor Skowronski, as he shares his love of history and engineering. Retired engineer Victor Skowronski has provided the magazine, 'The Bent', with the story of Loammi Baldwin Jr. and he will now share it with us! Baldwin Jr. has been called the Father of Civil Engineering in America by the Charlestown Historical Society. Sponsored by the Cummings Foundation Grant.

This lunchtime faculty concert at Winchester Community Music School will bring the audience on a Sentimental Journey across generations of jazz, Broadway and popular music. Music therapist and singer Shayla McDermott will weave in stories from her work as a music therapist with older adults. She will be joined by her partner and esteemed jazz pianist, Jonathan Fagan, along with Max Ridley on bass and Austin McMahon on drums.

On Saturday, March 2, we are holding coordinated state house assemblies in over 30 states, including at the State House in Boston. Our goal is to bring attention to the poverty in our midst, as well as other interrelated injustices. We hope to mobilize voters to participate in our democracy to bring about change toward justice for all and for the environment.

Drop in for a friendly game of Mahjong! We have a limited number of Mahjong sets and cards, so please feel free to bring your own.Please note that this is a casual meetup, not a formal Mahjong class. Beginners are welcome to join a game and learn as they go.
