2025 Summer Library Crawl

What's a Library Crawl? Think of it as a literary road trip! Travel from library to library, meet the friendly staff, and discover all the awesome things each one has to offer. The Challenge: At each library, snap a selfie with a designated item - it's like a 21st-century scavenger hunt! Then, post your pics and tag the libraries using #mlncrawl2025 to show off your journey.

3D Drawing Glasses

A Trip Down the Hudson Valley, History, Culture and Photography with Bruce Magnuson

Local photographer Bruce Magnuson will guide us through a fascinating trip down the Hudson Valley. He will touch upon historical, cultural and artistic themes that capture the essence of the area. While weaving in photographs, he will show how, many of the major themes in American History have shown up in this small section of the country. Sponsored by the Cummings Foundation Grant.

Adult Learner Salon

Adult learners at WCMS are invited to join us for an evening of discussion, music, and community. This gathering will combine a relaxed, informal performance opportunity with a continued group discussion of the themes offered by William Westney's book, The Perfect Wrong Note.

Advanced Mentorship and Critique with Aline Smithson (Online)

The Griffin Museum is pleased to offer a mentoring and critique program (ONLINE) for conscientious and self-motivated photographers seeking to broaden how they create and think about photography. Participants will get to know one another through critiques and brainstorming sessions. These ideas and suggestions will help hone strengths and elicit a deeply intentional artistic voice. New event for 2024-2025! Our performance classes give WCMS students and adult learners an opportunity to practice what it will be like to perform in a recital. There will be no audience, just the other participants in the class.
Each class is hosted by a WCMS faculty member who will offer encouragement and helpful tips. This class will help students develop a performance routine, checklists, and a narrative to encourage successful performances in their future.
